Abstract
Medical Ethics was established as a separate medical specialty in 1991. Later it was included as part of obligatory undergraduate medical education and among disciplines within the lifelong education of doctors, organized by the Czech Medical Chamber.
The author briefly describes the activities of Czech Medical Chamber (CLK) and especially a series of conferences and monographs issued at these occasions under the umbrella title "Ethical Problems of Modern Medicine".
