Abstract
The chapter of the university textbook on substantive criminal law deals with the temporal scope. In comparison to the text of the previous edition of the textbook it has been completely revised by the new author.
It can be seen as significant that for the first time in the Czech law science a rule of application of the more favourable is described as a principle of application of retroactivity of the most favourable law for the perpetrator.
