Since the end of WWII, Jewish survivors have written hundreds of autobiographies about the horrors they experienced. Their memoirs appeared in Czech literature two waves - immediately after the war and after 1989.
The former memoirs are markedly subjective and strongly emotionally; they lack perspective and connections to a broader context. Memoirs written after several decades are less emotional, are written with perspective, and express neutral attitude towards the Germans; nevertheless, their describe could be distorted.
