Nitric oxide (NO) and its potential influencing cardiovascular pharmacotherapy

Abstract

The article summarizes the importance of vascular endothelium and nitric oxide in the development of endothelial dysfunction and cardiovascular complications. They discuss some cardiovascular agents with the ability to stimulate local production of nitric oxide.
