Peritoneal inflammation and encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis: results of the GLOBAL fluid study

Abstract

Encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis is infrequent but serious complication associated with a high morbidity and mortality. Lenght of treatment by peritoneal dialysis and the degree of intraperitoneal inflammation do effect its occurence.
