The therapy with blood components and plasma derivatives had been known in surgery for over quarter of a century, but its application in the dermatology and the aesthetic medicine was discovered only recently. Within a short time there has been a significant adoption of this method by specialist in the aesthetic medicine, however we do not have enough clinical studies to prove its effectiveness and magical effects often blithely promised to patients.
Unclear is especially the question of its regulation, which creates a very vague and potentially dangerous ground, for clinicians. In recent months, we can see a significant progress addressing many relevant questions, therefore this paper aims to summaries and inform readers about the current status of this topics.
