Abstract

Penile cancer is a disease with a very low incidence in Europe. It is thus appropriate for these patients to be treated and monitored at selected workplaces, where the staff has experience with this disease.

The paper presents a new histopathological classification of pre-malignant lesions, which simplifies indications for surgical treatment and makes them more precise. The paper also presents established methods of surgical treatment of penile cancer, both in terms of treating the primary tumour and managing ganglion disturbances.

Modern, organ-saving surgical methods are presented as well.
