Abstract
Quantum amplifiers of light, known as lasers, have changed a range of medical specialties dramatically, but its place in the therapy of acute and chronic pain remains unclear. The key problem is the fragmentation of the treatment strategies described in many clinical and preclinical studies, which blocks establishing of the uniform guideline.
Moreover, while it is low-level laser therapy recognized in the Czech Republic, it has the position of scientifically tolerated unless alternative treatment modality; they are countries, where it is, relegated in the so-called. Alternative medicine.
Our knowledge greatly expanded in this area in recent years. The number of studies is increased as well the dosage of light energy.
Laser companies introduced new treatment systems with high-power lasers for clinics, as well home-devices used by patients. Lasers for pain management are dramatically changing, and this change must respond to the medical community, which it applies.
