Abstract
Two tragic characters, Prophet Jeremiah and King Zedekiah, meet in a biographic sketch for a discussion, which was initiated by the Lord's statement addressed to Zedekiah. The last story of the Zedekiah cycle reveals the tragic nature of this king (uncovers his character), his inability to listen to the prophet's statements and fulfill the task given to him by God.
