Abstract
The need to use information technology in schools is generally obvious; it implies the responsibility for IT education has teacher training college. It is appropriate to take account of technological and application possibilities of working with sound and music in relation to music education.
The text deals with the content of elective course focusing on selected basic knowledge and practical skills in the field of sound using personal computers for students and teachers (pregradual and postgradual study) at the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University. Presents the real possibility of topics that can be taught in a limited range of teaching; typically for students of combined study; and that they may create an acceptable basis for students' continuing independent work for developing their fundamental knowledge and skills.
