Abstract

Carotid artery angioplasty is a preventive measure to decrease a risk of cerebral ischemia due to stenosis of the internal carotid artery bifurcation. To achieve this purpose, it is crucial that the procedure has a minimal risk of complications and its effect is long-lasting.

The purpose of our study was to verify safety of carotid angioplasty and its long-term effect in clinical practice.
