Abstract

The aim of the present discourse is to give a brief outline of the possibilities of using video interaction guidance (VIG) to support teachers- novices and further their development of professional competencies. Results of presenting research suggest that the positive video feedback provide a valuable opportunity for personal, professional and social development for both teachers and pupils across a range of contexts.

These investigations have shown that this approach improves the communication skills and self-esteem of teachers-novices, therefore enhancing effective learning and teaching and minimising negative contact, e.g. misunderstanding, inattention, conflict. The teachers-novices start fully to enjoy the teaching and it energizes them.
