Abstract
The lecture was presented at the conference Czechoslovak justice in the 50s and Central European context, which took place on 25 October 2016. She addressed legislative regulation, creation and application of amnesties from the years 1948 - 1953, especially in terms of the scope of the Ministry of Justice.
Amnesties were the responsibility of the president, but important role in the organization of preparation and realisation of them played the Department of Justice.
