Abstract
Savanna biome is the largest in Africa. It is characterized by mosaicity, especially given the coexistence of trees and grasses.
Chapter answers the following questions: How is this mosaic maintained? It is a reflection of static or dynamic equilibrium? What role in its maintenance play large herbivores?
