Abstract
In this chapter we are going to discuss specific stages of human development and their interconnection with the theme of Internet addiction / excessive use of the Internet. Due to limited resources are monitored the developmental phases, in which a person himself uses the Internet (school age, adolescence, young adulthood, middle age and older adulthood and old age).
The topic of Internet addiction and excessive use of the Internet is not yet fully explored from a developmental point of view. Therefore some areas in the text provide rather speculative than evidence based facts.
