Abstract
The goal of the team of authors is to give overview information about current possibilities in diagnostics of bronchogenic cancer, which still dominates the rankings of occurrence of malignancies both in the Czech Republic and globally. The introduction of the paper stresses the importance of the patient's medical history and of physical examination.
Following that, an overview is given of imaging methods, morphological diagnostics and other supplementary examinations, which should be performed as a part of diagnosing malignant tumours of the lungs. The last part of the article is devoted to determining the clinical stage of bronchogenic carcinoma.
