Education of the Deaf in the Czech Republic: Legislation and practice

Abstract

In the first part of the paper, the author presents the current legislative definition of the preschool, primary and secondary education of the Deaf in the Czech Republic and puts it into the context of present-day practice. In the second part, she describes changes in this area, supposed from September 2016, as the consequence of the amendment of the Education Act in 2015 and following decrees.
