Abstract

The aim of our observation was the evaluation of changes in selected parameters of body composition, which occurred due to a four-month exercise program. The group consisted of 15 probands, females ranging in age from 23 - 48 years.

We used BIA (Bodystat QuadScan 4000) for the body composition analysis. The results showed significant changes of body weight (p = 0,028), FM (p = 0,002), FFM (p = 0,034), TBW (p = 0,028), ECW (p = 0,022), ICW (p =0,018), BCM (p = 0,016).

These results support the contention of the positive effects of physical interventions on body weight and body composition. Long-term and regular monitoring of changes in body composition, the monitoring of relationship between parameters of body composition and the results in various parameters of the stress test provides important information about the positive and negative impact of lifestyle on the body of the individual.
