Abstract
This article deals with educational and pedagogical worth of the Olympic idea. The evaluated Fair play and its main principles on the background of the 2016 Olympic Games events are presented the same way as the examples of unfair behaviour in Rio de Janeiro.
The contribution also focuses an overview of international solidarity programs, organized by the International Olympic committee, concerning the Olympic support of athletes, coaches, sport management and backing of Olympic values. The part of "the strongest moments and emotions" shows examples of surprising and emotional situations in Rio.
The article pays also attention to Olympic parks in the Czech Republic and their potential contribution for more active life style. Especially the positive influence of the Olympic idea for forming of values and attitudes, the impact of motivation to sport are evaluated in conclusion.
