Abstract
Biblical idioms are widely used in current political discourse. We can observe them in the form of titles of political texts, mottos and quotations in programs of political campaigns of various political parties.
Throughout centuries, the idioms have undergone changes both expressive and contentual. Transformations enable to perceive and use the biblical phrases from new perspective and in relation to the context.
