Abstract
The article is intended to serve as an introduction into Czech scholarly debate on conspiracism with special regard to its religious aspects. Conspiracism is understood as a strong belief that the real ground of historical and social facts is intentionally hidden from public.
Some implications of this definition are discussed in detail together with pointing out to similarities of conspiracism and religion.
