Abstract
There are significant changes in number and structure of present inhabitants in urban space during day. Maps of residential differentiation using data according to people permanent residence are the most common method to show the spatial structure of inhabitants.
However they can catch only one function (residential) together with only one part of day or night. Daily image of the city was possible to catch by census commuting to work and school data in the Czech Republic until recently.
These data are limited on a particular urban function, relating to particular group of people, catching particular time during day and moreover they are collected in 10-years interval. Mobile phones spatial data have become with cell phones mass expansion an exceptional alternative to conventional data that can catch all kinds of daily moves.
The aim of this map is with their usage to comprehend and describe changes in daily rhythms of cadastral units in Prague Metropolitan Area.
