The chapter of the collective monograph is devoted to the reflection of teaching phonetics phonology of the contemporary Russian language in undergraduate preparation of future Russian language teachers in primary and secondary schools. The text is divided into several parts.
The first part presents the current status of the surveyed issues (based on the analysis of the pedagogical documents and analysis of study programmes in selected specializations at faculties training teachers). Further theoretical backgrounds of the research question are outlined.
And finally, a specific teaching model at the authors' department is presented.
