From the Real to the Wasteland of Images Without Originals: a Plea for a Non-catastrophic Approach to Hyperreality

Abstrakt

Baudrillard defined hyperreality as a temporary and dangerous phenomenon. The present article, by contrast, intends to demonstrate tha images without originals are ontologically primordial and that it is possible to define an ethics that will enable us to fruitfully deal with hyperreality.
