Abstrakt
the article studies an unusual object - a silver duck head - said to have been found in the oppidum of Závist in entral Bohemia. thanks to its shape and maily its material, the object was considered in the past a proof of the site's exceptional status. stylistic and technological analysis of the object have, however, raised considerable doubts concerning the object's authenticity.
