The text employs the agelong and particular Aristotelian division of the social life into the private and public realm while the public sphere is necessary for the possibility of encounter. However the point of departure is encounter realized earlier and thence relationships to 'thou' of someone else.
This private field is postulated as an equivalent of the gospel concept of kingdom while the kingdom is what maintains the society living. The personal encounter requires sheer personal truthfulness while lie characterizes the public space.
