Abstract

The author ot the article analyzes different textual strategies in the hymns of Jan Rozenplut's Kancionál (1601) and Fridrich Bridel's hymn-book Jesličky (1658), that made possible to present a specifically catholic reading of some parts of Christian catechism and the polemics with the non-catholic readings at the same time. While the polemics is formulated in the Rozenplut's hymn-book from the very beginning of the 17th century outright , after starting of the intensive re-catholisation of the Czech lands after 1627-1628 it was formulated indirectly, however, impressively as well.
