Experimental and Practical Teaching in Contemporary Schools

Abstract

The paper focuses on the characteristics of preffered and recommended practical and experimental teaching. It explains its sifnificance for the development of competences of students in primary and secondary schools and points out of the difficulties in the realization of this type teaching in contemporary school.

It defines three basic methods of practical and experimental teaching - infornative, research, and problem-based methods, their advatages and disadvantages in terms of student and teacher and mainly the way of their real application and their importance for further improvements of teaching process.
