Abstract
The author analyses the approaches to reading the very first novel of Viktorie Hanišová (1980) Anežka (Host, Brno 2015). In the article we analyse and interpret the novel, in brief we also outline its position in contemporary Czech literature and its intertextual relations to the novel Rok kohouta by Tereza Boučková.
