Radiology of the chest and the abdomen in gastroenterology

Abstract

A radiological image still remains among the basic examinations in cases od suspected damage to the gastrointestinal tract. Indications are wide and numerous, due to its extensive availability and contraindications are practically non-existent.

A radiological image of the abdomen, especially in conjunction with an US examination can lead to definitive identification of the pathological proces without the need for any other imaging methods.
