Risk of thyroid cancer in women treated for infertility

Abstract

Thyroid cancer is a disease in which in recent years have seen a large increase in incidence, both globally and in the Czech Republic. This disease affects significantly more women.

Among patients in our clinic, we recorded 22 women with differentiated thyroid carcinomas covered during the previous period, a treatment for infertility using methods of assisted reproductive technology. For one of the patients was a follicular carcinoma, the other twenty-one patients were present papillary carcinoma.

We present our group, we report cases of some patients. We also describe risk factors for thyroid cancer, mainly the relationship of the tumor to reproductive factors.
