Abstract
The discussion paper examines opportunities of the upcoming Polish Presidency in the Council of the European Union to strengthen recognition of human rights and democracy support as a strategic objective of the EU foreign policy, particularly with regard to Polish experience with occupation, totalitarian injustice and repressions on one hand and popular freedom movement on the other.
