Abstract

This case report describes the progression of a 62-year-old man's medical condition after accidentally ingesting gasoline. It is important to note that the patient had nearly forgotten about this critical incident.

Due to the team's little experience with this kind of issue, some interesting complications arose due to differential diagnostic uncertainties. We would like to emphasize the importance of a history which, albeit occasionally neglected, remains the primary guidance for making the correct diagnosis.
