Abstract
The paper deals with several findings obtained from an analysis of PhD theses that were defended in the Czech Republic during the years 2004 and 2013 in the field of didactics of physics. The PhD theses are analysed especially from the point of view of physics topics which they deal with.
Further, a comparison of these topics with the physics content determined in current Czech curricular documents is carried out. In this context, the paper highlights particular suggestions which could alter the content of school physics education.
