Abstrakt
The Czech mathematician Eduard Weyr introduced the basic ideas of his theory of characteristic numbers in 1885. His so-called Weyr canonical form was rediscovered by several methematician at the end of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century.
Even monograph on this topic was published in 2011.
