Abstract
Bengt Saltin belonged to world renowned capacities in exercise physiology. Being born in Sweden he spend most of his professional career in Denmark.
In 1994 he became professor in the August Krogh Institute. He was director of the Copenhagen Muscle Research Center in 1994-2004.
He was deservedly called "one of the exercise physiology's giants".
