Rock art of hunter-gatherers and early herders in northeastern Africa

Abstract

The chapter describes the main features of the rock art of Jebel Uweinat at the border of Egypt, Libya and the Sudan attributable to the hunter-gatherers of the Early Holocene and the herders of cattle, sheep, and goats of the Middle and Late Holocene.
