Abstrakt
Idioms are complex units carrying a compositional meaning, and it is usually difficult to translate them into other languages. Sometimes they are even defined as untranslatable in terms of preservation of all their qualities, but the experience shows that, in many cases, there does exist some kind of equivalent in the target language.
In this chapter, a basic research into this problem is introduced.
