Abstract
The article focuses on the analysis of two portals linked with the workshop of Benedict Ried. They were both created towards the end of 1530ies with a major contribution of a stone-cutter working also for the house of Pernstein.
The all'antica shapes known from Ried's circle were transmitted via the portal of St. Bartholomew in Pardubice.
The portals show several original formal features that may be interpreted as an attempt at a "renaissance" (an attempt to revive the features of local historical architecture). It was, very probably, inspired by the specific ideals of utraquist patrons of the portals.
