Abstract

We briefly summarize our results concerning the field of growth of atomic structures, using a combination of experimental and theoretical approaches. Scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) provides atomically resolved information in real space allowing us to propose growth models, which can be further developed using kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) simulations.
