Abstract
The book deals with Andragogy as an open and constantly evolving discipline. The ambition of this publication is a comprehensive yet comprehensible areas of andragogical theory and practice of adult education, and reflection of the historical development and current state of the entire field.
Provide traditional themes cover a broader social and political implications. The authors tried to concentrate on a few selected topics that are not yet in the Czech context comprehensively and adequately described.
The text explores the emergence and constitution of Andragogy and integrated discipline at both the global and national context and gives information about its key findings. Paid to the historical development of adult education on the territory of the Czech Republic and to the critical analysis of its current situation.
The book also critically analyzes the concept of lifelong learning and its transformation in the context of current social development trends.
