The Great Regression? Transformations in Education : What politicians, experts and parents tell us

Abstract

The chapter focuses on the changes in school education in the neoliberal era. It analyses the decline of the comprehensive school with the transition to the school as a supermarket and later to the school as a firm.

The negative role of experts in contrast with the former impact of scientists and researchers is emphasized.
