Abstrakt
In the fist half of the 20th century, Max Brod was one the most important representatives of cultural sionism which stood in a certain kind of opposition to the political sionism of Theodor Herzl. He was the instigator of the so called Prague Circle of German Authors and, at the same time, a tireless propagator of Czech literature and culture in the German language environment.
