Abstract
A discussion night held on the 80th anniversary of Heinrich and Thomass Mann getting their Czech citizenship in the East Bohemian Skutec, the influence of Manns on Czech literature in the first half of the 20th century, asylum organisation in Czechoslovakian Republic supporting German immigrants running from the Hitler regime, the influence of the Mann brothers as classic authors of world literature on Czech translated literature, the report on the event of the citizenship award ceremony by representatives of the local commune and by the offspring of the initiators of the citizenship award from Great Britain.
