Slapy and Santini, transformations of the St. Peter and Paul church

Abstract

The chapter is concerned with the transformations of the Slapy church from its Romanesque origins to a Baroque renovation. Attention has been given to the involvement of Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel who finished the Baroque renovation and gave the building its unique look.

The fittings and furnishings are also compared to other works of this important artist.
