Abstract
This study considers periphrases rendering phasis. Periphrastic constructions are divided here according to their aspectual meaning into three basic groups: ingressive periphrasis, durative periphrasis and terminative periphrasis.
Altogether, 60 different verbal periphrases have been investigated and classified in the study.
