Abstract

In research and educational practice unlike to the technical aspects of the reading, we pay less attention to the reading comprehension. But not for all readers, the ability to comprehend a written text evolves automatically along with decoding skills.

In the lecture, the participants will be introduced to the current state of knowledge concerning the issue of reading skills development with an emphasis on the development of reading comprehension and bilingual education.
