The text introduces the historical development of Czech, hence the Czechoslovak emigration in Argentina. During the first half of the 20th century Czechoslovak emigrants formed a strong colony of sixty expatriate, sports and educational associations and fourteen Czech-written journals.
Colonies developed links with institutions in the country and shaped in Argentina opinion of Czechoslovakia. The study covers the period from the beginning of the 20th century, when the first expatriate clubs were established, to the first decade of the 21st century when Czech expatriates clubs has been to revived.
The main emphasis is on mapping the Golden period of the Czechoslovak colony, falling to the years 1920-1950.
