Abstract

The paper presents an annotated edition of the text of Miroslav Štrbka, a native from the only Czech village in Builgaria - Vojvodovo, who studied a final phase of this community's existence which was moving to Czechoslovakia in 1949-1950. Štrbka's aim was to demonstrate that alhough one of the main reasons why the Vojvodovo Czechs and Slovaks decided to move to Czechoslovakia were the promises made to the by remigration authorities, non of those promises was fulfilled after their migration to Czechoslovakia. Furthermore, Štrbka describes a series of moments of Vojvodovo natives' lives in their new homeland and their uneasy adaptation to the new and for them foreign environment.

The text is accompanied by expanatory commnets in the form of footnotes. Finally, the paper provides a brief assessment of its place within Vojvodovo research as well as the text's broader benefit.
