Publication at Faculty of Social Sciences |

Abstract

Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia did not transform itself into a socialist or social-democratic movement after 1989 Velvet Revolution but became the only stable and relevant Marxist-Leninist party within Central Europe. Hovewer its relevancy is based on blackmail potential only.

It is an oppositional party, which never had an opportunity to enter the cabinet. The question is: does this party fill the definition of an anti-system opposition? The analysis is conducted with the help of a modified Giovanni Sartori's conception of anti-system party.
